Morgan Named to Commission
Governor Gives Nod for 4 -Year Term
He was appointed to serve a four-year term. Mr. Morgan was appointed by Gov. Keating to the Oklahoma Small Business Commission in 1998. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Youth Leadership Exchange, and has previously served on the boards of the Metropolitan Fair Housing Council and the H. B. Foster Community Center. The newly-named Human Rights Commissioner also previously served as a member of the Community Advisory Board of WestStar Bank. Mr. Morgan is one of the founders of the Douglass High School Alumni Association. |

He served from 1983-1986 as Polemarch of the Oklahoma City Alumni Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and has served in numerous other leadership capacities with the chapter, including 19 years as a member of its Board of Directors. In addition, Mr. Morgan has served as Keeper of Records and Exchequer of the Middle Western Province of Kappa Alpha Psi, and served two years as a member of the board of the Province. He has been appointed by the Grand Polemarch of the fraternity to serve on a variety of committees, with one of them being an appointment as Field Deputy of the Middle Western Province. Mr. Morgan served in that capacity from 1986-1988. Mr. Morgan is a graduate of Douglass High School and of Fisk University. |
